Job Summary

The Store Supervisor - Supermarket is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the supermarket to ensure a smooth, efficient, and customer-friendly environment. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring excellent customer service, and resolving day-to-day operational challenges. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a team to achieve store objectives. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable working on their feet.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and support supermarket staff, ensuring efficient scheduling and a productive work environment.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
• Assist with inventory processes, including receiving, merchandising, and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure the supermarket is clean, safe, and organized, and manage equipment and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with in-store promotions and monitor sales performance to drive revenue.
• Prepare reports on sales, inventory, and employee performance, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Address operational challenges quickly and collaborate with other departments to enhance store efficiency.
• Foster a positive work environment, conduct performance reviews, and support staff development.
• Abide by and enforce the employee handbook and disciplinary code of the company.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification & Skills Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, management, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a retail or supermarket environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and basic computer applications.
